Emily Lewis

Originally from Shreveport, Emily grew up in the Episcopal Church and was active in diocesan ministries in the Diocese of Western Louisiana. She attended Sewanee and later moved to Baton Rouge for her work as a marketing producer at WBRZ.

Emily first encountered St. Margaret’s through the parish booth at Baton Rouge Pride while searching for an affirming and inclusive church community. She quickly found a sense of belonging and believes God led her to St. Margaret’s at exactly the right time.

She is deeply involved in parish life through pastoral care, altar guild, Young Adult Ministry, PFLAG, chalice bearing, and leadership in Evening Prayer. Emily has a strong love for liturgy and pastoral ministry and values creating opportunities for others to serve and become connected.

She hopes to bring a collaborative spirit, attentive listening, and a heart for service to the Vestry.
