Rick and his wife Neva have been members of St. Margaret’s for four years. They attend the 8:00 AM service and are active as coffee hosts, ushers, readers, and acolytes.
Originally from New Orleans, Rick moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU and has spent over four decades as an architect with Washer Hill Lipscomb Cabaniss Architecture, where he leads the Healthcare Studio. His firm has designed projects for many hospitals and medical institutions throughout Louisiana and has received national and international recognition.
Rick has served on numerous civic and professional boards, including Baton Rouge Green, the Baton Rouge General Foundation, the American Institute of Architects, Rotary, and Kiwanis.
Raised Roman Catholic, Rick says discovering St. Margaret’s felt like finally finding the spiritual home he had always been seeking. He deeply values the Episcopal Church’s inclusivity, openness, sacramental theology, and respect for lay leadership.
Rick brings extensive leadership and management experience, thoughtful listening, and a collaborative spirit to Vestry service.
