Sujuan and her husband Harold were drawn to the Episcopal Church because of its commitment to inclusion, equity, and practicing what it professes to believe. From their first visit to St. Margaret’s, they experienced a parish that embodied those values authentically.
Sujuan describes her life philosophy through the image of “being a leaf in the wind, blown by the breath of God,” trusting that God equips those who are called to serve.
Her professional career spans more than forty-four years in education, training, workforce development, and college access. She currently serves as Executive Director over statewide programs for the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance (LOSFA), overseeing programs including TOPS, START, and MJ Foster Promise.
Sujuan has received numerous professional honors, including Teacher of the Year, Outstanding Young Educator, and induction into Northwestern State University’s Alumni Hall of Distinction.
She brings a deep commitment to equity, discernment, collaboration, and service rooted in both her faith and professional life.
