We are so excited for our upcoming Back-to-School & Blessing of the Backpacks Children's Service on Sunday, August 2nd during the 10:00 AM service!
Everyone is invited to participate! We invite all students, teachers, school staff, administrators, homeschool families, college students, and anyone who works in education to bring their backpacks, school bags, work bags, or tote bags to church for a special blessing as we pray for a joyful, safe, and successful school year ahead. Each participant will also receive a backpack blessing tag to take with them throughout the year.
Our children did an amazing job during our last Children's Service, and we can't wait to see them lead us in worship again!
We currently have openings for:
- Scripture Readers
- Acolytes
- Greeters
- Song Solos

Please plan to arrive by 9:40 AM for setup and practice.
Attached is the song the children will be singing, "This Little Light of Mine" by Charlie Hope. If your child would like to sing one of the solo verses, please be sure to indicate that on the sign-up sheet.
The children will practice the song each Sunday during Sunday School leading up to the Children's Service. We also encourage families to practice the solo parts at home together.
Following the service, we'll celebrate with Backpack Blessing Stations and each child will have the opportunity to decorate their own pencil pouch to use during the upcoming school year!
