Community Outreach
On April 12, the Vestry approved the donation of leftover items from previous ministries. These items included laundry detergent and assorted laundry supplies along with 500 feminine hygiene products. Jack Warner (Treasurer) and Lester Mutt (Outreach Committee Chair) came together to formulate the plan and asked Connie Doughty (Parish Administrator) to see the donations through.
The laundry supplies, including over 50 containers of detergent, laundry baskets, dryer sheets, and hangers, were delivered to the Iris Domestic Violence Center. Iris recently purchased new washers and dryers for the Center, so the supplies will complement this perfectly and allow the women and children to have one less worry.
